Roberta Weintraub has extensive expertise that spans decades of dedication, service, and commitment to the children of Los Angeles.

Roberta has served as the head of the Los Angeles Unified School District Board from 1979 to 1993. In addition, she has successfully hosted and produced the acclamed, "School Beat” Education TV Talk Show for three years. She has been writer & host of Century Cable Television Education Specials, and lastly, served on both Board of Governors to the State Bar of California, and Library Commission of the City of Los Angeles.

More recently, she is the founder of both the Los Angeles Jr. Police Academy Magnet Program, the L.A. Cops Afterschool Program, and currently, the founder, and executive director of the High Tech High School, Los Angeles. She is truly the driving force behind the effort to make High Tech High a reality.
